Frequently Asked Questions for Residential Recycling
What do I need to bring in metals to recycle?
All you need to bring with you is your current photo ID.
When I get there, where do I go?
If you have never been to CC Recycling before, the best thing is to come into the office. That way we can direct you exactly where to go and answer any questions you may have.
I see that you charge for appliances. If I break them down can I turn them in for scrap?
Only if you are a business with an Appliance Demanufacturing Permit through the DNR.
For businesses that are interested in getting a permit you can check out available training through Evora Consulting.
The Appliance Demanufacturing Permit Form from the DNR is available to print here.
What if I have different types of metals? Do I need to sort them?
No, but if you know the difference between the types of metals it is preferable to sort them; different metals are worth different amounts, so sorting them ensures you will get the most money.
If you aren't sure what kind of metals you have, you can always have one of us take a look. We will always be happy to assist you!
